These disorders are caused by a variety of physical, hormonal, and psychological problems. In addition, some of disorders can also be caused by prescribed pharmaceuticals or illegal drugs. Many times, if you live long enough, age will also result in your having at least some of these sexual problems. The good news is that most of these problems can be corrected, and all can be treated and improved. Libido Rewired tells you how to increase your sex drive. The sex drive of all animals, including the human animal, has been inherited down through the ages. It is the drive that ensures the continued existence of each of the species. An ever-increasing number of individual studies and experiments have given us a growing understanding of our libido and sexual functions. The Human Genome Project has provided us with startling insight into our evolutionary development. Scientists are continually amazed as they learn more and more about just how much of our behavior, our feelings of lust, our need for romance, and our need for devoted love are pre-programmed in our genes. Detailed analyses of all the data available helps us understand why we are the way we are. It is very clear that much of the heritage from our ancient ancestors is still retained in our genes. Libido varies from one person to another just as the color of hair, or eyes, or physical make-up varies from person to person. Therefore we must personalize any treatment for libido disorders. In ancient times humans reacted to their sex drive – their libido – in an instinctive, "animalistic" manner and these instincts are still the basis of our sex drive today. But when civilization came along and our simple inherited libido began to be affected by socio-cultural pressures things changed. These pressures affected our libido psychologically. And then as modern sanitation and medications began to let us live longer than Nature's design for our hormone systems, our libido was affected hormonally. Key female hormones almost dry up after menopause. Key male hormones decrease significantly during the equivalent male menopause, called Andropause. In addition, the pharmaceutical industry started providing various drugs and supplements that have resulted in pharmacological changes within our bodies and created additional changes in our normal libido. Our libidos have become sex drives that are impacted by a very complex interaction of these factors and several of their sub-factors. The experts have termed our libido mess "Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder", HSDD for short. It simply means that our inherited sexual desire, our libido, has been messed up due to all of these modern pressures. These disorders result in frustrations that lower self-esteem, lower energy levels, and create depression. All of this adversely affects our interpersonal relationships and frequently results in emotional problems and severe stress. Modern society has even messed with the age effect on our libido. Libidos of the female portion of our population has been complicated by the fact that women continue to reach menopause at about age 51, but now live to near age 80. Back when our libido was developing in our ancient ancestors, women generally died before age 51. Now women live over a third of their lives after menopause – after their natural sex hormones have all but disappeared! Men do not normally experience a sudden menopause, but most experience the same effect over a much longer time period. Today's longer lives also cause many men to live a significant portion of their lives after sexual hormones have become too low for optimal sexual function. So what can we do to become "natural" again? We have to rewire our libidos. Libido Rewired explains all of this and provides a computer-based questionnaire for you to fill-out in private and get a personalized, step-by-step list of actions for you to increase your sex drive.
