About the Author

Mr. Parks grew up in the Southern Baptist Tradition and was thus taught the story of Jesus as described in the King James Version of the Bible.  Later, while in college, he read some of the Dead Sea Scrolls and noted the similarity between them and the teachings of Jesus.  The stories differed a little, but were alike in so many ways that it appeared to him that there must be a significant connection.

As the years went by, Mr. Parks continued to read various authors that recognized a connection between Jesus and the Essenes of the Dead Sea Scrolls.  His curiosity became deeper and deeper when the different authors recognized various facets of a connection, but none of them felt confident to fully describe the connection. 

After he retired from a career as an aerospace engineer and an aerospace executive with a major aerospace company, he decided to study the available information to learn as much as possible about the apparent connection between Jesus and the Essenes.

The information discovered presented a troubling dichotomy for Mr. Parks; the Essene teachings seemed to predate much of what he had been taught Jesus had originated.  Did Jesus copy some of their teachings?  If so, why?

He studied the Essenes in more detail.  He learned that they had collected teachings from many of antiquities various cultures and assembled it into a compilation that became their teachings.  Then it hit him.  God had used the Essenes to teach his young human child the great lessons of history so that Jesus could prepare to become the Messiah. 

Further study showed that the Essenes were the teachers of our young Jesus.  He remembered that Jesus had said:  “The truth will make you free.”   John 8:32.  

He determined to find the truth.  He found the truth - the truth that had been unknown down through the ages.

This UnKnownTruth inspired the formation of UnKnownTruths.com Publishing Company and the writing of several books on the subjects of Philosophy and Religion.  Jesus His School Years is the second of these books.

Informal Education:

Mr. Parks has had a life-long hobby of Biblical studies, which in later years have included studies of the Dead Sea Scrolls and many of the ancient clay tablets from Babylon and Sumer.

Mr. Parks also began an intensive study of the human aging process during the last seven years. This has included detailed studies of many of the scientific tests that have been conducted relating to cellular biology, the Human Genome, and Stem Cell Research.

Career Experience:

1958-1982     Aerospace Engineer and Executive at Lockheed Martin, with the last six years as Division General Manager, Tactical Weapons Systems. 

1982-1986     Co-founder and Chairman of Parks Jaggers Aerospace Company 

1986-1996     Producer, Writer, and Director of various motion pictures. 

1997-2002     Writer, Researcher. 

2003-Present  Founder and President of UnKnownTruths.com Publishing Company.
